Our mission is to shine a guiding light on a pathway that closes healthcare recognition and provision gaps and improves healthcare outcomes for these vulnerable patients through this comprehensive approach.
Currently, most healthcare institutions lack a comprehensive knowledge and approach to exploitation and trafficking (sex and labor), including guiding policies and protocols for their practitioners. Identifying and responding to violence and exploitation is about more than just awareness. Institutions require a comprehensive, multidirectional, patient-centered approach that invests in education and training, policy and protocol development, screening, medical diagnosis and treatment, reliable and supportive resource provision and referral, while gathering data and tracking processes over time for quality improvement. This healthcare approach must be interwoven with a trauma-informed lens that is flexible enough to be guided by the needs and requests of individual survivors and their families.

The 4-Pillar Approach
ReVEST® has created the 4-pillar approach, empowering healthcare professionals and medical institutions to improve the recognition, response, treatment, and care coordination of individuals and families experiencing or at risk of exploitation. All pillars must be in place to ensure healthcare providers and institutions have the tools they need to improve healthcare outcomes for these vulnerable patients.
